Excellent points to practice for a Substack newbie like me. Changing the mindset to that of a publisher-promoter and avoiding the "puddles" are something I am going to work on. I am a non-fiction writer, so it has been a great learning session for me.
Excellent. Thought the nonfiction tip to personalize to do better with one's Substack and putting forth a benefit in the purpose of your Substack is awesome advice. And also the mindset. Mike was talking about nonfiction mindset but same applies in fiction mindset. if you think you can tell a story. Start one leave it set and get back to it and go over and over, rewrite and reedit until it's a gem or a jewel but bring your distinctive personality and your voice to and be optimistic. Like Thomas the locomotive, "I think I can. I think I can. Awesome!
